Andrew Jones “Winter Walks” collection on display at Porters Cafe

PRESS RELEASE – A new body of work by Bathurst Artist Andrew Jones will open on Saturday the 3rd September 6.00pm, Porters Café, 76 William Street, Bathurst. This show will be on display until the end of September.

This new body of work is a collection of sculptural pieces entitled “Winter Walks”. These abstracted forms are based on the wide open landscapes surrounding Bathurst, its high misty views, and the kaleidoscope of muted colours we see on winter mornings. This work pays homage to the Canberra artist Ingo Kleinert and continues an engagement with the local landscape Rosalie Gascoigne would be proud of.

This latest body of work continues themes explored from last years sell out show at the Warpstanza gallery last year, and featured in last Months Country Style magazine.

Andrew Jones was born and trained in Britain. He who now resides and teaches art in Bathurst.
